Info About Audioslade Store

Audioslave, created in 2001 and disbanded in 2007, was an American rock group based out of Los Angeles, California. The band made up of the former Soundgarden lead singer/ guitarist Chris Cornell, and former Rage Against the Machine members, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Time Commerford and percussionist Brad Wilk. Known for being unique, Audioslave was noted for creating a new sound by mixing 1970s hard rock with 1990’s alternative rock.

During the bands six years of existence, they released three studio albums, also receiving 3 Grammy nominations. Disbanded in 2007, lead singer Chris Cornell announced publicly that the band would be breaking up, releasing a statement stating that it was due to “serious irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical conflicts”. In 2007, Rage Against the Machine had a reunion tour, as well both Chris Cornell and Tom Morello released solo albums, which cemented the rock super-group’s ultimate demise.
